Torrell Homes

Project

Walema

These homeowners asked Torrell Homes to create a home that would allow them to age-in-place. Accessibility was assured with the installation of an elevator, and we made sure that their hobbies could be enjoyed right on the property with his-and-her workshops: one designed for pottery, the other for woodworking.

The owners appreciated special touches that recognized their passions. For these avid gardeners and plant lovers, we put up interior stone windowsills to prevent damage from any accidental overwatering.

Careful layout decisions ensured that a place with so many “extras” would not feel crowded. That included ideal placement of a Scandinavian-style guest house, which was built on a floating foundation of helical piles and suspended slab to preserve large trees in the scenic backyard.

Building for Tomorrow

A custom home gives you a fresh start. Major maintenance issues are put off for years to come, while today’s styles and standards deliver a timeless look and minimize energy use.

West coast homes are known for durability as well as the subtle elegance of open spaces framed by natural materials. But Torrell Homes can work in any style. And we love facing challenges that push us to turn your form-or-function problem into a seemingly inevitable solution.
